TOOT Campaign News
The next TOOT Campaign public meeting will be at our regular venue, the Bangalow Bowling Club, on Wednesday May 17 from 7pm - 9pm.
Many of you will be aware that this will be the 2nd anniversary of the completion of the last train service (to date) on the Casino-Murwillumbah line.
FNC Strategy...
Condemnation Continues
Whilst the NRTF Committee is hard at work preparing our formal response to the NSW Department of Planning’s Far North Coast Regional Strategy, the widespread condemnation of the draft plan continues from virtually all quarters across the region.
A public forum has been organised by a collection of groups led by the Total Environment Centre to discuss the Strategy and its implications, to be held on Thursday May 4 from 6.30pm at the Byron Bay Community Centre.
Visit the campaign website at:
www.rainforestinfo.org.au/planning.nsw.people/plansforaction/northcoast.htm
A reminder that you can also check out the Strategy’s official website, which includes details on making formal submissions at: www.planning.nsw.gov.au/plansforaction/northcoast.asp
You can also email the Planning Minister, Frank Sartor, at office@sartor.minister.nsw.gov.au.
