Autonomous Regions Coalition News
Have you seen our information brochure yet? If you’d like a copy please contact us (arc@a-r-c.org.au) or you can view it on our website www.a-r-c.org.au which is now up and running, where you can also blog your comments.
There have been some exciting developments towards the realisation of true democracy through on-line referenda, with ‘Get Up’ (www.getup.org.au) on a national level and more locally - Activating our Collective Sovereignty through the United People World Government website (www.upworldgov.com) which was launched in Byron Shire in May.
The ARC strongly supports the idea of government from the ground up in the form of ‘community governance’ where land and communities are linked across the shires and the shires work together more as a region, seeking the highest degree of self reliance in food production, energy generation, public transport etc.
Towards this end we will be meeting next at Rosebank Hall on Thursday June 28th starting 7.30pm when we’ll be considering our next steps in hosting presentations around the region. We welcome your attendance.
