Viva La Rosebank Music Club

Another lively foot stompin’, happy vibes Rosebank Music Club was held on Saturday 22nd April at Rosebank Hall. With a line up of local talent that even the Byron Bluesfest would be jealous of, we had performances for all musical tastes.

Jammers, Rondo, Bill, Andrew and Steev

Thrillbilly stompers

Thrillbilly Stomp was a real hit

Bill Wade = Bill Wade, came all the way from Canada for the event

Rohan = Mysterious Shakuhachi player

The crowd was intimate, supportive and very appreciative of everyone who took to the stage. 'Thrillbilly Stomp' had us all up and stompin' to their fusion of guitar and accordion. We were (g)raced with the debut of hard rockers 'Heavy Weather', and a mysterious shakuhachi player. Plus regular favourites Rondo Cleary, Kurt from Folklore, Adi, Bill Wade and Kindred Spirits. Thanks also to Tynan for his impromptu piano performance.

Queens Birthday awards will be issued to the following people who gave selflessly of their time and talents: Steev Mack for the lighting, Llyr Otto for the wondrous food once again (she prepared for two days in advance but couldn't make the night due to illness, and I am sure, exhaustion! Definitely OBE material), Kurt for the fantastic work on the PA, pasta and performance, Ron, Lydia and Garth, resident angels for everything from promotion, performance to packing chairs, Andrea for her tireless work in the kitchen, plus the many others who also put in their time, thanks heaps!

The next Rosebank Music Club will be held on 20th May at Repentance Ck Hall. It will be our last until September as we will be breaking for winter. So come along for a fun night out of top local talent and a delicious feed all at a very reasonable price. Even better, come volunteer or come and gift us all with your hidden talents; dust off your tap dancing shoes.... polish up the tin whistle... ..yodellers... ..whip crackers...Tibetan horns... ..spoon benders.......We accept and applaud all; the Good, the Bad and the plain Ugly! See you there. Kids most welcome.
