Into Another Great Year of Music Nights
The New Year of 2007 was ushered in with a marvellous celebration at the Rosebank Hall. The Rosebank Music Club presented a family oriented night focussing on good music, good food and spending time with old and new friends in the Rosebank Community.

The Romaniacs gave a great performance |
The main act of the night was the marvellous world music band, the Romaniacs, who gave everyone the urge to sway and dance with their performance. Thrillbilly Stomp ushered in New Years and gave the crowd a lively rendition of Auld Lang Syne. Other performers on the night were Kindred Spirits and Folklore who presented a snapshot of music they made at the club nights throughout 2006.
The Club kitchen provided a summer feast of vegetarian rolls accompanied by sweet peach chutney made from local peaches, and a fresh salad. In total about 100 slices of delicious cake were consumed along with chai, coffee, and a fruit punch. In 2007, the Club hopes to be able to provide a range of local coffees instead of the instant variety we have been serving. Keep an eye out for Andrea - the coffee Queen!

The night was enjoyed by young and old. |
The Club would like to thank Martha and the other tireless helpers for their serving, cleaning and washing up efforts for the night. Also our thanks go to Manfred, Terri and Monika for providing seating for outside around the fire. The outdoors seating was very popular with young and old alike.

Kindred Spirits shared their original songs |
All in all the night was a perfect example of the wonderful Community we have here at Rosebank. This year we had quite a number of people who made the trip from Byron to celebrate New Year. New and old residents, and visitors from as far away as Canada met, ate and celebrated together, enjoying the music and each other’s company.
Thank you to all who helped to make the night possible, including the Club Committee, the sound and lighting crew, the kitchen marvels, and the helpers who pitched in to lighten the load of others. The Rosebank Music Club looks forward to seeing everyone throughout 2007, with new friends to be made and old acquaintances to renew.
PS This month the Music Club follows on at 7pm from the VJ’s 20th Birthday Party on Saturday,.February 17 at Rosebank Hall.
